How we keep Lavender Union safe
- Phone verification for everyone. Every account confirms a real phone number before joining, and banned numbers can't sign up again.
- Private contact details. Members never see your email address or phone number.
- Automatic moderation. Profile text and audio clips are checked for hateful and abusive language.
- Report and block in one tap. Use the flag icon on any profile or chat. The person is hidden from you right away and our team reviews the report.
- Hide anytime. Switch on “Hide My Profile” to disappear from Discover without losing your matches.
Community guidelines
- Be honest about who you are and what kind of partnership you want.
- Treat everyone with respect, including people whose goals differ from yours.
- No harassment, hate speech, explicit content, spam, or solicitation.
- Never pressure anyone for money, personal documents, or private information.
- Never share someone else's identity, orientation, or personal details outside the app.
Tips for meeting someone
- Keep conversations in the app until you're comfortable.
- Video chat before meeting in person.
- Meet in a public place and tell a friend where you'll be.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Never send money or financial details to someone you haven't met.
Before you make it official
A lavender marriage is a real legal marriage. Before making legal, financial, parenting, or immigration commitments, talk to a qualified attorney. Arranging a marriage to get around immigration or benefits rules is illegal and is not allowed on Lavender Union.
The Resources tab in the app links to marriage laws, LGBTQ+ legal protections, lawyer referral services and counseling in your state, plus a sample prenuptial agreement to start the conversation.
