Lavender Union is operated by Magus Labs LLC. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind. This page sets out the standards that apply to everyone who uses Lavender Union, on Android, on the web, and anywhere else the service is offered.
Adults only
- Lavender Union is for adults aged 18 and over. Minors are not allowed to create an account or use the service.
- Every member must confirm they are 18 or older at signup, and our servers reject any account that gives an age under 18.
- Every account must verify a real phone number, and banned phone numbers cannot sign up again.
- Any account we believe belongs to a minor is removed.
What is prohibited
The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate, permanent removal from Lavender Union:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, animated, edited, or AI-generated imagery that sexualizes minors.
- Sexualizing, grooming, or soliciting a minor, or attempting to contact a minor for any sexual purpose.
- Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images of a minor.
- Trafficking or advertising minors for any purpose, including marriage.
- Seeking, arranging, or promoting a marriage or partnership involving anyone under 18.
- Sharing, requesting, linking to, or asking where to find any of the above.
How we prevent and detect it
- Age gate. Signup requires an age of 18 or older, enforced on our servers, not just in the app.
- Phone verification. Every account is tied to a verified phone number, so banned members can't simply start again.
- Automatic moderation. Profile text and audio clips are automatically screened, and flagged content is sent to our team.
- Human review. Our team reviews reports and flagged content, and child safety reports are reviewed first.
- Private contact details. Members never see each other's email address or phone number.
How to report a concern
- In the app: tap the flag icon on any profile or chat and choose “Child safety concern or user under 18”. The person is hidden from you right away, and our team reviews the report.
- By email: write to services@maguslabsllc.com with the username of the person involved and what you saw. You don't need a Lavender Union account to report.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) first.
- You can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline (1-800-843-5678), or, outside the US, to your national hotline listed by INHOPE.
Please do not download, screenshot, forward, or share suspected abuse material, even to report it. Tell us the username and where you saw it, and we will preserve the evidence.
What we do when we find it
- We remove the content and permanently ban the account and its phone number.
- We preserve the relevant evidence as required by law.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, as required by U.S. law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
- We cooperate with law enforcement and with regional and national authorities, and respond to valid legal requests.
Compliance
Lavender Union complies with all applicable child safety laws in the places where we operate, and reports to the relevant regional and national authorities. These standards also form part of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
